I do not remember if I stumbled across Davide Cambria’s work from a Google search or if it was from scrolling through art on Instagram, but once I saw his work, I was hooked. The composition of his pieces are so interesting, using bold colors and separated brushstrokes. I was also curious about working with a palette knife at the time, so I was double obsessed.

Using a palette knife, I created the background, and then I used paintbrushes to create the face. This was definitely a piece that I went in blind creating, not having worked with the style before and my last attempt with acrylic (still hopeful) being a major struggle.
